Precipitated barium sulfate does not change color when it meets hydrogen sulfide
There are two types of barium sulfate, one is precipitation, the other is water washing. Barite is produced. Industrial products include barite crushing and barite precipitation by chemical reaction with barite as raw material.
Barium sulfate dissolves in acid-base metal salts and becomes barium carbonate. It is slightly soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid and insoluble in other acids and bases.
Although the chemical properties of precipitated barium sulfate are the same as barite powder, it has no crystallinity and is amorphous. Its texture is very fine and soft. Its oil absorption and covering power are higher than barite powder. It is stable to air and heat, and does not change color with hydrogen sulfide and toxic gases.
